[edit] FAQ
- Will there be food?
We'll have non-alcoholic drinks and a coffee machine, and a bit of finger food. There's a bakery, a butcher and a Kebap shop right round the corner, so no one will starve :) - Do I have to be a developer to attend?
No - everyone is welcome, e.g. artists, usability reviewers, documentation writers, or just curious people :) - I'm a developer, but have no clue about KDE programming
Please join! We always need expertise in native Windows or OS X programming, and besides, Qt/KDE is really easy to learn.
[edit] How to get there
[edit] Airport to Hotel / central station (Hauptbahnhof)
If you arrive at the airport, you can take any S-Bahn (S1 or S8). On any MVV vending machine, you can buy a ticket. Press the "4" (for 4 zones), it should be EUR 8.80. Don't forget to stamp it before entering the S-Bahn. Exit at Hauptbahnhof. Go to the south exit (Bayerstraße, see pictures below), the hotel is in visible range (Bayerstraße 75).
[edit] Hotel/Central station to meeting place
The meeting takes place at the Regus Munich City (Map). It's best accessible by Tram, lines 18 and 19.
If you are at Hauptbahnof (Munich central train station), go to the south exit. You should see the Bavarian Schnitzel + Hendlhaus right in front of you, including the Tram stop for lines 18 and 19.
If you turn your head to the right, you should see the the A&O Hotel (red arrow below):
If you're at the hotel, the 18+19 tram stop is just a few meters away across the street.
To go to the developer meeting, grab the tram:
* Tram 18, direction Gondrellplatz - or * Tram 19, direction Pasing Marienplatz
Exit at Am Lokschuppen. There's a big BAUHAUS shop right next to the stop that you can't miss:
... walk alongside to the office building right next to it, and when you meet these three men ...
... say hello and walk up the stairs. In the court yard, take the "Entrance 2" ...
... and take the elevator to the third floor ...
... and follow the signs :)
