KDevelop 4/4.0 Release Schedule

The dates apply to both sdk/kdevelop and sdk/kdevplatform
[edit] March 1st, 2010: Hard Feature Freeze
Trunk is frozen for feature commits. Only bugfixes and minor text changed are to be committed after this date.
[edit] March 3rd, 2010: Tag/Tarball Beta9
The last beta of KDevelop 4.0 is tagged and tarball'ed and uploaded to the ftp servers. Trunk is frozen for commits except very urgent fixes or build fixes.
[edit] March 5th, 2010: Release of Beta9
Official release date for the last beta including a dot-announcement and news on our website. Should contain a link to this schedule for packagers. Trunk is opened again for bugfix commits.
[edit] March 31st, 2010: Message Freeze and Tagging of RC1
No commits changing translated texts are to be comitted after this date. Additionally trunk is frozen for release tagging, only very urgent fixes and buildfixes are to be comitted.
[edit] April 3rd, 2010: Release of RC1
Release of RC1 including announcement. Trunk is unfrozen again for bugfixes that need to get into the 4.0.0 release.
[edit] April 14th, 2010: Release RC2
Trunk is frozen for the whole day to tag RC2. Release on the same day, no big announcement needed.
[edit] April 28th, 2010: Tag Final
Trunk is deep-frozen, no commits whatsoever except release-critical fixes.
[edit] May 1st, 2010: Release 4.0.0
Release of KDevelop 4.0.0, big part. Trunk is branched to stable/extragear-kde4/sdk/kdevelop/4.0 and stable/extragear-kde4/sdk/kdevplatform/1.0. Afterwards trunk is opened again for any commits.
