2009-december-16 - KDevelop 4.0 beta7 released
This one fixes more than 111 bugs from beta6. Please do not use previous versions to report bugs, most of the bugs have been fixed in this version. So please update to it before reporting bugs.

2009-november-29 - KDevelop 4.0 release plan
The tentative release date for KDevelop 4.0 is 31 of March 2010. The KDevelop 4.0 release cycle will not be insync with KDE 4.4 releases.

2009-november-04 - KDevelop 4.0 beta6 released
KDevelop 4.0 beta6 (3.9.96) and KDevPlatform 0.9.96 were released today and can be downloaded via public ftp. They fix more than 74 bugs and introduce a well working debugger. Before updating make sure to see the feature comparison with KDevelop3. This version requires at least KDE 4.3 and Qt 4.5. Future releases will follow the KDE 4.4 release schedule

2009-augustus-22 - KDevelop 4.0 beta5 released
KDevelop 4.0 beta5 (3.9.95) and KDevPlatform 0.9.95 were released today and can be downloaded via public ftp. They fix more than 160 bugs, that is around 48% of all reported bugs! Before updating make sure to see the feature comparison with KDevelop3 and install the required software dependencies. This is the last beta that works with KDE 4.2.x, future versions will require at least KDE 4.3.0. You can read more about this release on Apaku's blog.

2009-augustus-11 - KDevelop 3.5.5 released
For users that for some reason can not update to KDevelop4, we released a bugfix version of the KDevelop3 series. KDevelop3 development was stopped around October 2008, but users have occasionally sent us patches that we incorporated in this release. Please download it from our download page because the binaries provided by some linux distros are crippled.

2009-mei-05 - KDevelop 4 is four years old
KDevelop 4 is a rewrite from scratch of KDevelop 3 and has been under development for the past four years. The first production release is scheduled in a few weeks, stay tunned.

The website is ten years old. The birthday present was a blog aggregator with posts from the KDevelop developers.

2009-januari-13 - KDevelop 4.0 alpha6 released
KDevelop 4.0 alpha6 (3.9.85) was released today together with KDE 4.2 RC1. It fixes more than 12 bugs of the alpha5 release and new C++ Meta-Programming and Semantic Highlighting features have been added. The KDev3 KDev4 comparison table has been updated and 260 krazy issues of KDevPlatform have been fixed.
