Le projet KDevelop a été mis en place en 1998 pour bâtir un environnement de développement intégré (IDE) pour KDE facile à utiliser. Depuis, l'IDE KDevelop est disponible pour le public sous la license GPL et supporte beaucoup de langages de programmation.

2010-mai-05 - Happy birthday KDevelop, you old git !
KDevelop4 has turned five years old today. Andreas Pakulat our release coordinator offered a special present to all our users and developers, he moved KDevelop from SVN to a git source repository. Now it's even easier to contribute to KDevelop.

2010-mai-01 - KDevelop 4.0.0 released
